With the current status of a tough job market today, you have to be better than the best in order to get the job. In my twenty years of Recruiting, I have interviewed thousands of people ranging from entry to executive level positions.
The target market for this blog is the first time job seeker, or the individual who has been in the same job or career for many years and now finds him/herself out in a tough job market due to a downsizing and /or layoff. You don't know where to start the job hunt, and more importantly you don't know how to ace the job interview once you get your foot in the door.
My passion is Recruiting and I find it quite interesting to see the variety in the candidates that I have interviewed over the past few years. There is a saying; "If you know better, you will do better." Knowledge is power.
I can remember my first experience in the job market after working for the family business for many years. I thought I would never land my first job. If it were not for an honest Recruiter who took the extra time to explain to me why I did not get the job that I so badly wanted, and what I needed to do in order to obtain the next opportunity, my interest in recruiting would never have blossomed. I am grateful to that Recruiter to this day.
The interview blog will be interactive. In each edition, I will share from real life examples what you should, or should not do during the interview process. I will also provide interview tips and encourage you to participate with questions and comments about your job hunting experiences.
